Cost analysis of insulation materials used to increase energy performance in buildings with Net Present Value method

Today, producing solutions for the effective and efficient use of energy resources is among priority areas in almost every sector. In terms consumption, each solution developed building sector has a great impact on reducing total consumption. this study, different types insulation materials used walls roof were investigated cost-effectiveness order to improve performance located 1st degree day zone Turkey. Four commonly preferred wall tested at specific thicknesses. Scenarios specified thicknesses simulated with Design Builder simulation program consumption values determined. The initial investment costs alternative calculated savings evaluated according Net Present Value method ranking was revealed. According results obtained, when study are compared; it determined that material highest net present value glass wool stone wool.
